Entry Requirements 2011


E N T R Y    P R O C E D U R E

ARTISTS RESIDING IN THE U.S. ONLY

CD ENTRY POSTMARK DEADLINE: (SAT) JULY 23RD, 2011

The actions of the juries of Selection and Awards are final.  Associates and Non-Members will be notified of the juror’s decisions on August 13th.  Audubon Artists Inc. reserves the right to reject any work that does not comply with entry requirements.
 
A COMPULSORY INSTALLATION FEE (upon acceptance) $35 FOR ALL EXHIBITING ARTISTS MUST BE SATISFIED PRIOR TO RECEIVING DAY

ASSOCIATE MEMBERS:

Will be Juried from a Digital CD and Entry Form that must be mailed First Class to Medium Director with a #10 self-addressed stamped envelope;  $35 Dues must be satisfied in advance to Associate Members Coordinator, Olympia Hostler,

Only Associates may enter up to two (2) additional entries on one CD at $5 each (only one juried work will be accepted).

NON-MEMBERS:

Will be Juried from One Entry. Mail Digital CD & Entry Forms first class to Medium Director with #10 self-addressed stamped envelop and $35 Non-Refundable Entry Fee payable to Audobon Artists Inc.


The action of the Juries of Selection and Awards is final.
ALL artists will be notified of the Judges' decision shortly after August 13, 2011.

E N T R Y   R E Q U I R E M E N T S:

1. Associates & Non-Members will submit only one CD in JPEG format of 300 dpi resolution not to exceed or height of 800 pixels. CD WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Artists must clearly print name, address, title, medium & dimensions on CD label.

2. Only one entry per artist will be accepted. Associate & Non-Member Sculptors may submit two different views of one sculptured work in the round

3. NO ACCEPTED ART WORK WILL BE EXHIBITED UNLESS THE $35 HANGING FEE IS SATISFIED PRIOR TO RECEIVING DAY; Payable to Audubon Artists Inc. and mailed to your Medium Director.

4. All works must be For Sale and price must clearly be stated on entry; NFS & POR  are unacceptable; No change in price will be permitted for accepted work.

5. Any two-dimensional work exceeding 44'' (framed) will not be accepted.

6. Any sculpture exceeding 48" wide x 36" deep x 36" high or over 200 lbs. and any relief in excess of 30" in any direction cannot be accepted. Hydrocal and Fired Clay are Acceptable Materials.  Small sculptures must be secured by the Artist for display.  Pedestals can be provided by Sculptor or first come, first served notice. 7. Any art work previously exhibited with Audubon Artists may not be resubmitted..

8. Any former member with unpaid dues will be assessed that amount at registration or against monetary prize.

9. Sales commission of 30% to Audubon Artists, Inc. on all sales related to the exhibition will be deducted from the sale price.

10. Computer-generated art, photography or class work will not be accepted.

11. Only first class mail will be accepted. No express mail, special delivery or certified mail will be accepted if signature is required.

12. The Audubon Artists Gold & Silver Medals of Honor cannot be awarded to the same artist in a consecutive year but allowed in subsequent year

13. Do not phone or send mail to the Salmagundi club. No art work should be shipped directly to the salmagundi club...use a designated shipper.

Audubon Artists Society Liability and Shipping

Liability: All resonable care will be taken with works of art. Neither Audubon Artists, Inc., the Salmagundi Club, nor anyone connected with the exhibition will be responsible for loss or damage however caused. Audubon Artists, Inc. retains the worldwide right  to reproduce, destribute, create a derivative of and display images of the accepted work on our Website and in our Prospectus. Artist waives moral rights with respect to all uses agreed to herein. Your entry into the exhibition constitutes your irrevocable agreement to these terms and conditions.

3. OILS & ACRYLICS

Only oil paintings and acrylics not presented under glass or plexiglass will be juried in this category.

4. GRAPHICS

Only traditional forms of printmaking, charcoal, conte, color pencil, and graphite drawings are eligible in this category.

5. PASTELS

6. SCULPTURE


All sculpture must be within the size limitations noted in the entrance requirements. Associate and Non-members need to submit 1 or 2 images on one CD according to their work based on bas relief or in the round. Only Associates can submit up to two (2) additional entries at $5 each.
Active Members Do Not Submit CDs This Year.
